Partial save & resume

SwiftSurvey automatically saves your progress as you answer questions — you never lose your work, even if your browser crashes, your internet drops, or you close the tab.

How it works

Every time you answer a question or advance to the next one, your responses are saved to your browser's local storage. If you close the survey and return later — even days later — you'll see a Resume prompt asking if you want to continue where you left off or start over. Your saved progress includes which question you were on and all previous answers.

How long is my progress saved?

Saved responses are kept for 30 days from your last interaction. After that, they expire and you'll need to start fresh. Each survey has its own independent save, so progress on one survey doesn't affect another.

Offline & crashes

Even if your internet drops or your browser crashes, your answers are preserved in local storage. When you reconnect or reopen the page, the resume prompt appears. If you had answers queued for submission when you went offline, they're sent automatically when you're back online.

Starting over

The resume prompt gives you two options: Continue (pick up from the last answered question) or Start Over (clear saved progress and begin fresh). Once you start over, previous saved progress is permanently deleted for that survey.
