Google Forms export
Export your SwiftSurvey forms to Google Forms, making them available in your Google Drive for sharing, collaboration, or archiving within the Google Workspace ecosystem.

Where to find it
Go to the builder → click the Export button in the top toolbar. On first use, you'll be prompted to connect your Google account. After that, the button shows "View Form" linking to your exported Google Form, with a re-export option to push updates.
Step by step
- Open your survey in the builder
- Click Export in the top toolbar
- First time: sign in to your Google account and grant permission
- The survey is created as a Google Form in your Drive — opens in a new tab
- To update: click the re-export icon next to "View Form"
What gets exported
- All question types — Mapped to the closest Google Forms equivalent. Short text becomes Short answer, Long text becomes Paragraph, Multiple choice and Dropdown become Multiple choice, Checkboxes become Checkboxes, and rating scales become Linear scale.
- Sections — Section pages are exported as Google Forms section headers with page breaks between them.
- Required questions — Required settings are preserved.
- Question descriptions — Help text and descriptions are included.
Limitations
Advanced SwiftSurvey features like conditional logic, custom themes, ranking questions, and picture choice cannot be replicated in Google Forms due to format limitations. These questions are still exported but may appear with simplified formatting. Existing responses are not exported — only the survey structure transfers.
