Google Forms import
Bring your existing Google Forms into SwiftSurvey with a quick paste-and-import flow. Import preserves your questions, sections, and basic settings so you can migrate surveys without rebuilding them from scratch.

How to import
From the dashboard, click New Survey and select Import from Google Forms. Paste the shareable URL of your Google Form into the input field and click Import. SwiftSurvey connects to Google's API to retrieve the form structure and creates a new draft survey in your workspace.
What gets imported
- Questions — All question types are mapped to the closest SwiftSurvey equivalent. Short answer becomes Short text, Paragraph becomes Long text, Multiple choice, Checkboxes, and Dropdown are mapped directly with their options preserved.
- Sections — Section breaks in Google Forms become section pages in SwiftSurvey, maintaining your multi-page structure.
- Required settings — Questions marked as required in Google Forms remain required after import.
- Descriptions — Question descriptions and help text are preserved.
Limitations
Google Forms features like grid questions, file upload fields, and response validation (except required) may not transfer perfectly. After import, review your survey in the builder and adjust any questions that did not map cleanly. Conditional logic from Google Forms is partially supported and should be verified after import.
